This funding opportunity supports the establishment of a Research & Innovation Consortium to develop and test dynamic tools and approaches for measuring public trust and confidence in policing in the UK. The consortium will create innovative methods to capture the views of underrepresented groups, including under-18s and victims of violence against women and girls, and will pilot interventions to increase trust. The project must start by 1 February 2027 and run for 36 months.
Project leads must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for UKRI funding. Business, third sector, or government body individuals based in the UK can be project co-leads, and international researchers can apply as project co-lead (international).
