Falling Walls Lab is a competition for students and early-career professionals to pitch a breakthrough idea in three minutes. The Aotearoa New Zealand event selects up to 20 New Zealand-based and two Pacific Island Forum nation-based finalists to compete in Wellington, with the winner traveling to the Falling Walls Lab Global Finale in Berlin.
Applicants must reside in New Zealand or a Pacific Island Forum nation (excluding Australia), be 18 or older, hold a passport valid until at least May 2027, and not have previously presented at Falling Walls Lab Aotearoa New Zealand. They must also be currently enrolled in tertiary education or have received a Bachelor's degree within 10 years, a Master's within 7 years, or a PhD within 5 years (with parental leave extensions).
