The Program for Forming Japan's Peak Research Universities (J-PEAKS) supports core universities in individual regions and universities with strengths in specific research fields to form consortiums that enhance research capabilities across Japan. It aims to accelerate internationalization and societal implementation of research activities under strategic management, operating in parallel with the Universities for International Research Excellence program.
