Bilateral Programs

The JSPS Bilateral Programs promote international scientific exchanges between Japan and counterpart countries through joint research projects, joint seminars, and researcher exchanges. Proposals are openly recruited and jointly selected with counterpart agencies. The FY2027 call includes new calls with CONICET (Argentina) and AID (Uzbekistan).

Japanese researchers affiliated with universities or research institutions in Japan can apply. The program is open to researchers in countries with diplomatic relations with Japan, plus Taiwan and Palestine, through counterpart agencies.
