This scheme funds scientific networks, which are groups of 10 to 20 researchers at various career stages who collaborate across locations on a chosen topic for multi-year scientific exchange, aiming for a specific outcome such as joint publications or research method development. Funding covers travel and maintenance costs for meetings, coordination costs, and publication costs. Proposals can be submitted at any time.
Qualified researchers with a doctorate in Germany or at a German research institution abroad can apply. Employees of institutions with purely commercial aims or those not permitted to publish findings in a generally accessible form are not eligible.
