Clinical Trials

The Clinical Trials Programme funds patient-oriented clinical research in Germany, including interventional clinical studies (phase II feasibility studies and phase III interventional trials) and observational trials, aiming to prove the efficacy of new therapeutic, diagnostic, or prognostic methods. Funding covers staff, equipment, consumables, travel, and other trial-related costs. Feasibility studies have a maximum duration of 36 months, while interventional and observational trials are initially funded for 36 months with possible renewal.
