The Gender Equality Grant is a supplementary funding scheme by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) that provides financial support to female researchers in early career phases (doctoral or postdoctoral level) who are employed in SNSF-funded projects or career funding schemes. The grant can be used for career support measures such as mentoring, coaching, courses, workshops, and networking events, but does not cover family support measures. No application is necessary; eligible individuals automatically receive CHF 1000 per 12 months of approved project running time, with a work-time percentage of at least 60% funded by the SNSF (except for doctoral students).
Female researchers at doctoral or postdoctoral level who are employed in SNSF-funded projects or career funding schemes (excluding Eccellenza and SNSF Starting Grant) are eligible. A work-time percentage of at least 60% funded by the SNSF is required, except for doctoral students. Women researchers at universities of applied sciences without a doctorate may also be eligible.
