Canada–G7–Nordic call for proposals on quantum technologies

This joint initiative between Canada, other G7 countries (Germany, Japan, the UK, the US) and Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden) supports multilateral or bilateral collaborative research projects on quantum science and technologies. The Canadian principal applicant submits a single collaborative proposal on behalf of the international team, and NSERC leads the merit review. Proposals must address one or more quantum technology areas such as quantum algorithms/encryption, communications, computing, materials, or sensing.

Canadian university researchers eligible for NSERC funds can apply independently or as a team with co-applicants. Each Canadian team can submit only one application, and the project must include at least one international collaborator eligible for funding from Germany, Japan, the UK, or Nordic countries. U.S. collaborators may also be included via NSF mechanisms.
