NSERC · CA · NSERC / Tri-Agency
This scheme funds research projects that advance the development and adoption of quantum technologies in Canada through partnerships between university researchers and organizations from the private, public, or not-for-profit sectors. Projects must align with one or more missions of the National Quantum Strategy and may address quantum algorithms/encryption, communications, computing, materials, or sensing. Grant support ranges from $100,000 to $650,000 per year for up to two years, with NSERC covering 100% of eligible costs.
Canadian university researchers eligible to receive NSERC funds can apply, with co-applicants who are also eligible academic researchers. Adjunct professors employed in Canada outside the university sector and college faculty may participate as co-applicants. Early career researchers are encouraged to apply.
