Canadian Forest Sector Workforce Diversity supplement

This supplement provides financial support to high-calibre students working toward a degree in forestry sciences and other fields relevant to Natural Resources Canada – Canadian Forest Service. It aims to provide research opportunities in natural sciences and engineering, address the diversity gap in the forest sector workforce, and encourage students from underrepresented groups to pursue studies and careers in related fields. Eligible students are automatically considered when awarded a USRA, CGRS M, or CGRS D award.

Eligible applicants are those who have been awarded an Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA), a Canada Graduate Research Scholarship – Master’s (CGRS M), or a Canada Graduate Research Scholarship – Doctoral (CGRS D) award. The proposed research project must fall within specified research subject codes relevant to Natural Resources Canada – Canadian Forest Service.
